About Me

Hi, I’m Deborah—a mother of five, a proud Navy spouse for over 14 years, and a lifelong learner on a mission to figure out who I am, and what I want out of life.

After more than two decades away from the workforce, I made the courageous decision to return to the workforce, and became a substitute teacher.  After becoming a Long Term Sub, working with Preschool students, i found my passion - I love working with those just starting out and helping them learn and grow.  This brought me to this new journey to pursue my teaching certificate. Through all of this, It has been a journey of rediscovery, resilience, and growth—and I’m excited to share it with yo

Originally from Pennsylvania, I then moved to Utah, where I met and married my husband.  Through the life as a military family it has taken us across the map from Virginia, to California, then across the ocean to Hawaii, and finally to our current location of Guam. These experiences have shaped how I see the world and how I hope to teach—with empathy, flexibility, and deep respect for each learner’s path.

This blog is my space to reflect, connect, and encourage others—especially those who are starting over, returning to school, or navigating big life transitions. If that’s you, you’re not alone. I’m walking this road too.  Come with me as I travel this path and experience my highs, and lows, my not knowing, and growing.  I'm so excited for this journey!  I'm ready to blast-off!!!!
